The Enemy Doesn’t Want You To Know What Sin Is: Don’t Let Him Fool You For One More Day!

The concept of sin as defined in the Bible, often evokes discomfort and avoidance in conversations. However, it is essential to examine why this topic has become taboo. My friend, the enemy seeks to suppress discussions about sin because it threatens his EVIL agenda! By obscuring the understanding of God’s Word, he desires individuals to create their own moral standards, thus, diverging from God’s righteous standard of love. It is crucial to recognize that ONLY God, who loves us more than we love ourselves, embodies true love, AND—the enemy has ZERO love for us!

Satan did not die for us; but GOD demonstrated His love for us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. GOD is love. (Romans 5:8; 1 John 4:8)

So WHAT is sin?

The most basic Biblical definition of sin is thinking, speaking, or acting in opposition to God and His law.

“Sin is the transgression of the law.”

1 John 3:4

Satan did it.

Eve did it.

According to the Bible, we’ve ALL done it.

“…ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.”

Romans 3:23

The enemy’s goal is to keep humanity in ignorance of God’s standard of sin. If we don’t know about the cliff, we will drive over it! He undermines the recognition of God’s righteous standard and distorts the understanding of GOD’S values. Consequently, people create their own subjective standards of right and wrong and depart from God’s truth. This departure takes humanity into a never-ending free fall of confusion and chaos. (See Romans 1) We are entering the chaos-zone in our country. For example, children thinking they are “furries” while adults—instead of telling them the truth about their DNA—are bending over backwards to accommodate them.

My friend, God is not the author of confusion.

That’s why God gave us standards that don’t change with the culture. But the enemy is opposed to God’s love and righteousness and seeks to deceive humanity. By redefining sin, he aims to erode the awareness of God’s moral standards and the need for repentance. His ultimate goal is to hinder individuals from recognizing their need for salvation through Jesus Christ, who sacrificed Himself out of love for humanity. Discussing sin, in the context of God’s grace, enables us to acknowledge their need for forgiveness, embrace the transformative power of the Gospel, and experience a restored relationship with God.

The enemy seeks to suppress conversations about sin to keep humanity in ignorance of God’s Word and ensure eternal separation from God!

Because God is love, isn’t it fair to say that “sin” is really just a decision to forsake love? For this rejection we bring judgment upon ourselves. Satan does not want us to talk about God’s definitions of “sin” or “judgment.” He despises God AND—he hates us. He desires our destruction.

My friend, “sin” is to reject God’s presence and “judgment” is for God to give us just that—the total absence of His presence!

Hell is the total absence of God’s presence. When we accept the gift of salvation and learn to “live and move and have our being,” in God’s presence, we KNOW that our worst MISERY here on earth is—to live without a STRONG sense of His presence. (Acts 17:28) In a true relationship with God, living without Him is like suffocating. When we know the truth about sin, we become desperate to eliminate ANYTHING that is robbing us of our spiritual oxygen. That’s how we should view sin—like the great thief who is stealing the life God intended for us. The dirty devil does NOT want us to know this truth!

When we choose to live in sin, we have chosen to serve a master who hates us!

Before we are born again, we do NOT have a choice because we are spiritually dead. But when Jesus makes our soul and spirit alive, we have a choice—to live free from sin. We can live in the Spirit!

“For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”

Romans 8:5-6

Do you really love yourself?

Then, LEARN God’s definition of sin and LEARN to hate the things that WILL destroy you. Replace them with something far better—God’s ways. You will LOVE living in the delight of His presence. To love God’s ways is to love yourself because it places you in God’s presence; which is—the presence of Divine love.

God is love; and when we seek God–we find love.
