We continue from yesterday with our list of amazing benefits from reading, studying, and memorizing God’s Word. Remember, the benefits are only realized when we approach God’s Word with a surrendered heart! Yesterday we discussed the following benefits of God’s Word: peace, wisdom, strength, true prosperity, confidence, and deliverance as well as the sustenance and light. Is there any other single source where you have this kind of benefit package??? Are you taking advantage of all these benefits?” If not, are you being deceived by the enemy about the benefits of the Word? Please don’t miss out!
The benefits of God’s Word are presented as a question; and the answer is from the Word:
- Are you experiencing the FRUITFULNESS of God’s Word; that is a life which produces love, joy, peace, kindness, wisdom, strength, etc? This is a benefit for those who take God’s Word in and embrace it like good ground embraces a seed.
- Jesus said: “But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the Word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” Matthew 13:23
- Are you experiencing GOD’S PRESENCE? Jesus is described as the Word and one amazing benefit of experiencing God’s Word is also experiencing the person of Jesus.
- “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.” John 1:1-3
- Are you experiencing the TRANSFORMATION of the Word of God in the way you think, talk and act? This is a benefit of God’s Word.
- “For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.” 1 Thessalonians 2:13
- “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17
- Are you experiencing the word of God producing more FREEDOM to become a discipler of Christ? Freedom and discipleship are a benefit of experiencing the truth of God‘s Word.
- “Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, ‘If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.’” John 8:31-32
- Are you experiencing the Word of God as an offensive WEAPON against the enemy in order to bring His kingdom to this earth? The Word of God is a necessary part of the armor He supplies to win the battle. Furthermore, Jesus used it against the enemy.
- “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;” Ephesians 6:17
- “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”Hebrews 4:12
- Satan came to Jesus and said “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.” And Jesus answered, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:3-4
- Are you experiencing the Word continually CLEANSING your life by revealing the truth? The Word blesses us because it enables us to walk in the blessings of truth instead of the painful deceit of lies.
- Jesus said “Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.” John 17:17-19
- Are you experiencing a life of CLEAR CONSCIENCE or are you riddled by guilt? The Word gives born again believers a clear conscience.
- “But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:2
- “that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.” Philippians 2:15-16
- Are you experiencing STRENGTH for your soul? The Word of God is our source of growth and deepest satisfaction.
- “as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.” 1 Peter 2:2-3
- “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:4-5
My friend, we could go on and on. But it’s clear that God’s Word isn’t just a collection of myths or irrelevant stories. It is alive. It is full of promises. It changes us. It plants the seeds of faith which leads to salvation. Do you have any other single resource that gives you: peace, wisdom, strength, true prosperity, confidence, deliverance, freedom, a clear conscience, purity, fruitfulness, sustenance, light, and transforms you and brings you into God’s presence? God’s Word is priceless. Do you hold it more precious than any other earthly possession?
God’s Word is the embodiment of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, who loves you more than you love yourself, so cling to it—it is more extraordinary and powerful than you can ever imagine.

God’s love and light will always eradicate darkness .
Amen sister!
I really need the reminder that this series is providing. Through the busy pace I have been pushing, I have walked away from my daily time with Him in his Word and as a direct result, my thoughts have also drifted. It’s a slippery slope.
Thank you, my friend, for your continued and consistent obedience to Him, helping me to get back to mine.
God’s Word is so uniquely powerful—-it’s truly amazing to see it at work! Thank you, my dear friend, for your encouragement!
