From time to time someone will ask me, “How did you know to say exactly what I needed to hear?” My answer is always the same: “I did NOT; but GOD did.” It’s 100% true. God is omniscient and He knows the secrets, the pain, the trauma, the anxiety, and the darkness within the heart of every person. He also knows whether a person is ready to come to Him. When we’re close to Him, He gives us the words that they need to hear. Thankfully, He usually does NOT typically reveal all the depth of their sin, [we can’t process all the dirt that only God knows], but He DOES give us the healing Words of life.
God’s intel is priceless because it allows us to be part of ushering people into His presence.
Aren’t you just a little curious to know the healing secrets of God? God said to Jeremiah the Prophet:
“Thus says the Lord who made it, the Lord who formed it to establish it (the Lord is His name): ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.'”
Jeremiah 33:2-3
God’s astonishing plan for mankind to know His hidden wisdom, is echoed in the New Testament. But what is interesting is WHO He does NOT give His wisdom to:
“Among the mature we do impart wisdom, although it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to pass away. But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory. None of the rulers of this age understood this, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.”
(1 Corinthians 2:6-8)
God’s wisdom isn’t the “wisdom” of the Who’s Who of Hollywood, the powers in Washington D.C., or All-star athletes. The wisdom of our pop contemporary culture changes like the wind based upon, among other things, the fickle opinion of mankind.
To whom does God reveal His secrets?
“‘What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him‘— these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.”
(1 Corinthians 2:9-10)
When you love God with all your heart, He reveals His greatest secrets to you.
Search for God with the intensity reserved for what, or who you love most. When you walk in God’s presence, you see Him everywhere—in the waves, the sunset, the flowers, and the trees. When God’s Word is hidden in your heart, you will hear the birds sing His praises alongside you. God’s Word and His presence will give you peace, love, and wisdom far beyond your own intelligence or ability. God’s healing wisdom will be spoken through you to yourself, and those around you. Ah, my friend…
God’s great healing secrets are revealed to those who passionately love Him.

Kimberly,
What a beautiful devotion. I was able to pray over a woman this weekend asking God for restored health thorughout her body. Waiting on the Lord to answer but what peace I felt in my own body after praying for her and I hope that her faith was strengthened as well that day. She has a strong faith but when you face chronic illness daily, it really wears you down. It is important to lay every burden down each day at the foot of the cross each day but some days I know I hold on to that sickness and use it as a crutch. Help me Lord to release that emotional attachment to my sickness and the story I have told myself for years, that I can’t do as much as others because of health problems. I need to get over that. Have a blessed day!
I am meditating on Jeremiah 33: 2-3.
Great verses to meditate on, Sharon! God has His timing and it’s always perfect. Prayers for your friend and for you being offered up now! You CAN do ALL things through Christ, my sweet sister! ~Kimberly
