Don’t Gamble With Your Future—Make The Best Investment To Build Net Worth!

Today, God asked me: My child, what is your TRUE net worth, that is, today’s value of the investment of your entire lifetime of work and energy and—are you investing wisely?

I don’t want to make a bad gamble with my future—do you? When we typically think about our investment holdings, it’s usually about our material possessions like—real estate, retirement, a business, and physical other assets. But are the material possessions in and of themselves really worth a lifetime of blood, sweat, and tears when you can’t take them with you? Yet—what is most of our TIME spent DOING? That’s where the proof is about how well we’re investing—right?

Don’t you want to invest in things you can take with you???

God is so good to remind me to keep my focus on Him so I can invest in ETERNAL assets. This reminder keeps me consistently on the right path so I adjust my time and resources are spent with higher goals in mind. I ask myself:

What’s the best investment of my resources today to build my ETERNAL net worth?

That doesn’t necessarily mean that I quit my job, sell all possessions and move to the mission field; although, it could mean that. You see, very few people are called to be preachers or missionaries so God gives most of us the privilege to make eternal investments within our different walks of life. He works through us even in very diverse walks of life! David was a king, Paul was a prisoner, and Joseph was a slave and Moses was the adopted son of the man who enslaved his people—when God did some of His greatest work.

God gives us all  the opportunity to be wise investors—from the janitor to the President.

A wise investor will follow the wise rules of Jesus:

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Matthew‬ ‭6:19-21

If all I possess at the end of my life are the things that I can’t take with me when I die—then I’ve made a terrible investment!

My prayer is that God will guide me each day to make wise investments of my time and money so I don’t miss a single blessing.  Life is too precious to gamble with a single day!

“He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.”

II Corinthians 9:6
