I hope that everyone reading this devotional has at least a dozen great dreams for their own future!
I know I do for sure! But, there has been one very, very, important transformation in my future aspirations.
Now, all my greatest dreams for the future are being birthed inside —the unfathomably marvelous imagination of God!
GOD’s creativity is arguably the only creativity that exists as no human really “creates” anything. Rather, we are limited to simply re-creating. We use the tools and models provided by the Creator. So, when we tap into GOD’s mind, we are drawing from the greatest imagination known to man.
“Lord my God, You have done many things —Your wonderful works and Your plans for us; none can compare with You. If I were to report and speak of them, they are more than can be told.”
Psalms 40:5
So, the billion dollar question is: How do we get inside the imagination of God?
After we have been reconciled to God through receiving the gift of salvation, we must seek Him with all our heart, soul, and mind. He is waiting for us to trust Him with our greatest dreams. But to know His mind, we must read His Word and develop a relationship with Him. While our human mind can never completely understand the mind of God because such knowledge—would blow our mind—He gives us the knowledge of Himself that is within our human limitations.
“For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.”
I Corinthians 13:12
When we delight in doing God’s will, He opens our eyes to GREATER dreams and plans than we ever had before we knew Him.
“I delight to do Your will, my God; Your instruction lives within me.”
Psalms 40:8
God doesn’t have small dreams for us; He has ROCKET-sized PLANS. Better than anything we can imagine! God gives us the joy of living in His plan and when we see it unfold—it is more wondrously beautiful than anything we ever dreamed. We must never forget that God has a carefully thought-out plan for our life. We must not settle for what we can see.
