What Are You Doing To Find Peace?

Don’t you want to know how to find constant peace for your soul in this crazy world?

If you have a prevailing spirit of peace in your life, you DEFINITELY stand out in this world of anxiety-driven people. Peace is so rare to see amongst the drama, hate, discontent, anxiety, and—etc. But peace, in order to be constant, has to come from a source stronger than the fray.

Jesus is the Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)

Jesus is not just an Almighty overwatch in world where the spiritual warfare rages, He is also on the ground—fighting every battle with us. To have God’s peace amidst this battle, we must remember it is HIS battle and we need to make sure we’re fighting on HIS side. In other words:

  • We must give every skirmish, every burden, and every part of ourselves—over to His command.
  • We must resist sin—because if we’re living in sin, we’ve switched sides and are fighting with the enemy and AGAINST—the Prince of Peace!

Many times when I feel like I’ve lost my peace it’s not because the enemy has taken it—it’s because I’ve given it away. I’ve exchanged the peace of God for the burden of sin. Sometimes my sin is outright disobedience and sometimes it’s a failure to trust God (the more subtle sin). Either way, our loving Prince of Peace promises us we will find peace when exchange our burdens for His rest.

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Matthew‬ ‭11:28-30‬

If you are weary from doing life your own way, lay your burdens down and—don’t pick them up again!

Constant peace is the best evidence that the Prince of Peace reigns on the throne of our heart!
