Does It Seem That Your Faith Is Failing You?

We all put our faith in someone or something. “Faith” is an expectation in something or someone that motivates us into ACTION. Where we spend our time and money and what we think about is the best evidence of where we’ve placed our GREATEST faith. Think of all the things you chose to do yesterday and ask yourself: “WHY did I choose what I did, what I worried about, or who I spent time with?” Did those things satisfy you? If not, do you know WHY you always seem to need more?

We must place our faith in something that will satisfy the deep longing of our soul!

My friend, faith in GOD will never fail you.

But HOW do we develop faith in this God who never fails? Well first, we must be born again. God’s Word promises:

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” ‭‭

Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭31‬-‭32‬, ‭35‬, ‭37‬-‭39

Then, after we have the security of knowing we belong to God, we must pursue Him. We must become passionate about developing a relationship with Him and living according to His Word.

“You shall establish yourself in RIGHTEOUSNESS: you shall be far from even the THOUGHT of oppression or destruction, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you. Behold, they may gather together and stir up strife, but it is not from Me. Whoever stirs up strife against you shall fall and surrender to you…no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me, says the Lord.”

Isaiah‬ ‭54:14-15,17‬

Wow! When children of God draw close to Him by conforming to His righteous ways, our soul experiences His magnificent power, immovable love, and immeasurable wisdom, and—we realize we risk too much—when we don’t put our most extreme faith in Him. Jesus “authored” and “finished” our faith. (Hebrews 12:2) When we receive the gift of salvation we are given a solid foundation for faith in God. He is written in our heart. The more we seek to know Him, the more the evidence of our faith grows.

Nothing can thwart God’s plan for your life. Your faith in Him is the only sure foundation! Are you building on it?

The best evidence of our faith in God is—what we do with it.

      1. The more we practice trusting God, the better we get at it. This may sound simple but it is 100% true! He is faithful. I often pray that He will make me as faithful to Him as He is to me. Praying for you today!
        Blessings,
        Kimberly

      2. I have some of the same issue right now. I do know that the longer I kept it inside and didn’t share with my friend, who also baptized me, that it almost made it unbearable to get up every day. I am thankful for this friend who had compassion and wisdom and love to share and guide me through. Faith in God is there for the taking. Meaning, Faith in Christ will get you through even the hardest struggles in your mind and heart. I’m still learning. And I have a long way to go. I do want you to know you are not alone in this area though. Keep the faith even if you don’t understand it completely. Because God is right there with you and He is a very gracious God.

        1. He is sooo gracious! What an amazing God we serve! Blessings to you, my sister.

  3. I have been struggling to fill a void … doing exactly the opposite of God’s desire for me. Loss of a spouse and then my son has sent me in a tail spin. I have to find my way back to Christ … back to my first love. I almost deleted this without reading but thank you for this is what I need to ‘hear’ … I must now find the courage and strength to ‘do.’

Faith is to be obedient and is dead without works. Faith is not just head knowledge. I miss Christ but I keep falling into a dark pit. All through scripture we are told to remember the firsts and this is where I will begin.

    1. Rebecca,
The power of God is amazing! I had been praying from 7-7:30 CST this morning specifically for those reading the devotionals…for God to draw them and use the message to encourage and transform! Your comment is a direct answered prayer and is so encouraging to me! God is so multi-faceted in HIS ways to bless. If anything on this website draws you closer to God—then we are joined in a common mission that is greater than anything on this earth! I will have special prayer for your spiritual growth now.
If it helps..the website is searchable by topic. So if you are struggling with any particular need, it may be something that I also asked God to help me with and shared with others!
      Blessings in God’s love,
      Kimberly
