Celebrating the Birth of Our Nation: The Powerful Experience Of Embracing Freedom

In our quest to maintain freedom, it is crucial to recognize that being “One Nation under God” necessitates living according to HIS laws of freedom. Anything less than God’s guidance will ultimately fall short. Throughout history, nations that have deviated from God’s principles have eventually succumbed to various forms of enslavement. Jesus paid a great price to secure our eternal freedom. He proclaimed:

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.”  ‭‭

Luke‬ ‭4‬:‭18‬

What, then, deprives us of freedom? What is the greatest source of oppression for all humanity? Who dares defy God and seek to destroy His creation? Who is responsible for our destructive addictions that can never truly satisfy our deepest desires? Ah, my friend, there are three enemies of our freedom—the devil, the flesh, and the world. Jesus willingly sacrificed His life to liberate us from these adversaries. He cautioned us about the wretched slavery of sin:

“Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” ‭‭

John‬ ‭8‬:‭34‬,36‬‬‬

When we are born again, we receive a new life in Christ. As part of God’s family, we have the privilege to choose to live by His rules of freedom. Jesus set forth guidelines that are simple yet profound: “Love God with all your heart, soul, and mind, and love your neighbor as you love yourself.” (Matthew 22:37-39) However, we cannot genuinely love God or each other, until our soul and spirit find reconciliation with Him through receiving the gift of salvation

After we are born again, we must make God the LORD of our life. When God is at the center of individual lives, then the entire nation is blessed.

“The counsel of the Lord stands forever, The plans of His heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance.” ‭‭ ‬‬

Psalms‬ ‭33‬:‭11‬-‭12

Today, as we celebrate the blessings of liberty and independence, let us remember that true freedom is not merely a political or social construct, but a spiritual reality. It is found in the transformative power of dedicating ourselves to God and living according to His Word. Let us consecrate our life to God and offer Him our complete devotion, surrendering 100% of who we are, and everything we possess.

The truest experience of freedom is when we wholeheartedly align ourselves with God’s divine principles!

It is only then that we break free from the chains of enslaving sin and discover the greatest liberty. May this day serve as a reminder to consecrate our lives to God, seeking His guidance, wisdom, and grace in all that we do. The greater our devotion to Him, the more we experience the profound sense of freedom that surpasses any earthly concept.

Let us gratefully and joyfully embrace true freedom by surrendering ourselves entirely to God.
