Lately, there are just too many problems that are so big—I just can’t handle them. God is training me to say, “I’m just going to have to give this to God.” As soon as another problem crops up I say, “Well, I can’t handle this problem either, so I’m going to have to give this one to God too.” Or… “I can’t handle this person so…I am going to give them to God.” This cycle is…
…actually bringing me a lot of relief!
My biggest problem is training my brain to get used to this routine. I MUST hand the problems over to Him. God used Psalms 27 to inspire me. Ah, how wonderful it is to know the presence of God. The greater His presence is to me, the easier it is to give Him everything on my to-do list! As I was reading this Psalm, God showed me how to pray back to Him in response to HIS Word.
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?”
Shine your light, Oh, Lord! Peel the darkness back and dispel every fearful and discouraging thought that threatens to ruin my day.
“My enemies and foes, They stumbled and fell. Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; though war may rise against me, in this I will be confident.”
Lord, my enemies are no match for You. I have absolute confidence in Your presence. Go with me now to face all that this day holds!
“One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.”
Lord, make Your presence my greatest desire. Show me Your glory. Reveal your goodness. Help me to perceive Your works and all the ways You are working for good in my life!
“Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.”
Oh, Lord, I will praise You for giving me this day, this hour, this minute where: I feel my heart beating strong in my chest; my eyes clearly see the sunrise; my ears hear the birds singing; my face feels the soft morning fog; and best of all—I feel the strength of Your presence surrounding me.
“Teach me Your way, O Lord, and lead me in a smooth path.”
May I seek Your help and guidance for every hour of my way today. I give you 100% of my heart, my time, my resources, and all that You have given me—I give it all back to You. Let Your Word be a light to my path today.
“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!”
Ah Lord, Your goodness is greater than I can count. It gives me hope for myself. It gives me strength to love greater and deeper. Lord, You are the strength of my heart. All day long, help me listen, wait, and act by the leading of Your Spirit. In Jesus name, Amen!
