Each time a Presidential election rolls around and we are fire-hosed with messages of fear and hate, it seems that in order to maintain a life of powerful spiritual victory—I must limit how much I drink from that firehose. Our world, our country, our communities, and our families, have so many problems that cannot be solved by politicians. We must keep our hope aligned in God, Who gives us the only REAL and LASTING solution to secure victory against the evil of our enemies.
To win the most important battles and live with a victorious mindset, the clearest and strongest voice that guides us each day must be—our High Commander and Savior, Jesus Christ.
That’s one of the reasons we take the time to write and produce these devotionals and videos. As we spend quality time with God every morning to discover His strategies for winning and learn His battle plan—we share them with you—our brothers and sisters in arms! God’s Word is critical. It’s the battle plan. Moreover, it is a living weapon against evil. It is “alive and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword.” (Hebrews 4:12) This Word of our Almighty God proclaims “no creature [is] hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” (Hebrews 4:13) Wow!
God’s children don’t need to think like a coward or live like a loser!
But when we drown in the discouraging messages of this world, we lose hope and ultimately hide away in our safe places, getting stuck in our head with entertainment or mind-altering substances. We think, “what’s the point of remaining on the battlefield?” But, my friend, we must be aware of the enemy who roams about as a roaring lion seeking to devour us and all we love—and make no mistake, he is real —and we must wake up, renew our minds daily, and seek to develop the mind of Christ. We need to develop His BE-attitudes!
God is giving us the amazing opportunity to be winners!
What’s the key to winning?
GOD must do it through us. We NEVER win—without God.
Just look at these amazing promises from God’s Word:
“Give us help from trouble, for THE HELP OF MAN IS USELESS. Through God we will do valiantly, for it is He who shall tread down our enemies.”
Psalms 108:12-13
“My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”
2 Corinthians 12:9
“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”
1 John 4:4
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33
“The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but deliverance is of the Lord.”
Proverbs 21:31
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
Ephesians 6:10-12
If you are a born-again believer and you are not winning, there must be a reordering of your life passion:
- Christ must be the center of your life.
- Christ must be in complete command of your life.
- Christ must be your greatest hope.
- Christ must be the Captain of your heart.
Christ WILL give you victory and—it is always glorious!
