In this critical time in history, when the very fabric of societal stability is being ripped apart by social unrest, racial hatred, political fear, disease, economic crises, and moral bankruptcy—we long even more for peace, love, goodness, and security! But who can we really trust to deliver us? Will it be a U.S. President, a charismatic religious leader, or a wealthy tycoon? Is the answer on social media? Is it in religious quips or expert opinions? Who has what it will take to deliver us from evil?
Throughout history, God has provided deliverance through the most unlikely people!
For example, Moses was a foundling, David was a shepherd, Rahab was a prostitute, Daniel was a refugee slave, Gideon was a farmer and—Jesus was a carpenter. Even in modern history, George Washington, the first U.S. President, was a farmer with little classical education and very little military training. God’s power is not limited by racial or geographical identity, lack of pedigree or education, poverty, or any other perceived deficiency.
GOD doesn’t need ANY man-made advantages to do HIS work.
The Bible teaches us we can live as victors—when GOD is within us:
“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
(1 John 4:4)
There is nothing we lack which God does not already possess, and He WILL provide to accomplish HIS purpose. When we begin to LIVE like His power is REAL, these words become intertwined deeply into our soul:
“God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
(2 Timothy 1:7)
In other words, when we possess a strong sense of God’s presence—we have all the strength and wisdom we need to be totally confident. We are not afraid! God’s presence allows us to shed our perceived inadequacies and live courageously. Right before His crucifixion, Jesus gave this encouragement to His disciples:
“Indeed the hour is coming, yes, has now come, that you will be scattered, each to his own, and will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
John 16:32-33
When we are filled with God’s presence, we are outrageously courageous! WE can be the person who leads by example in the power of God. God gives incredible victories to those who fully trust Him.

God BELIEVED me years ago, when on bended knee, at the end of my rope, facing possible death and NO WAY out. Suffering for over 2 years of depression where meds didn’t help. Changed them up and nothing. He believed me when I prayed a short heartfelt, desperate prayer giving it all up to Him and promising Him only one thing: I will give you my life to direct in anyway You choose. Did mention that I hadn’t done it very well up to then or I wouldn’t have been on bended knee pleading for help. I asked 2 things: If it be Your will that I die please take care of my daughter. She just lost her father little over 2 1/2 years ago. She will be an orphan and than is the deal I made above with God…BUT if it is YOUR WILL that I live than Lord I will dedicate my earthly life to You. Oh yeah it began happening .
I rose from my knees walking my house for about 5 minutes before realizing my depression was gone. GONE! There is more to this testimony. Maybe another time. God doesn’t make deals with his children. But of
His child freely offers up a deal, He may take it.Even though we ALL KNOW He didn’t need my permission. He just wanted my freely given soul so He could make me a new creation. God is so funny! He will turn the tables on you when you think you have it where you want it. He BELIEVES you when you speak the words. He holds you to it. You can stray but He will remind you. This is the covenant made between God and I.
Amen!
Thank you for your prayers today and prayers for all of your people.
Blessings to you!
