Possess The Blessings God Has For You!

Share

possess the blessings

If we spend our life fixated on the things we believe we lack, we risk missing the abundant blessings God has in store for us. God has a marvelous plan for each of us, and when we seek Him earnestly, He graciously unveils it. However, un-thankfulness and discontentment can construct a barrier between us and God. We are like a child in a room filled with wonderful toys who doesn’t relish ANY of them because we’re consumed by the ones we don’t possess.

But…when we cease obsessing over what we believe we lack and focus on the rich abundance that God offers within Himself, we live in a state of amazement and wonder.

My friend, the amazing thing is that Jesus chose earthly poverty so that we could inherit eternal riches beyond measure! The Bible says:

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

2 Corinthians‬ ‭8‬:‭9‬ ‬‬

Jesus relinquished everything when He descended to this sin-filled, darkened world to redeem humanity. His sacrifice was beyond our imagination. What efforts are we making to possess and fully appreciate the blessings bestowed upon us as a result of His great sacrifice? Are we too preoccupied chasing the world’s fleeting riches? Remember, it’s not the material wealth of this world that represents the BEST God has to offer us. Rather, it is the intangible treasures that money cannot buy—such as a “peace that surpasses understanding” (Philippians 4:7) and a love so profound, vast, and deep that it transcends our greatest expectations.

For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the WIDTH and LENGTH and DEPTH and HEIGHT— to know the LOVE of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3‬:‭14‬-‭19

Are you experiencing God’s extraordinary peace and boundless love? If not, take a step back and see if it is perhaps because you are fixated on attaining more of what will NEVER satisfy you. Begin giving thanks to God. Count all your blessings beginning with the gift of salvation

Jesus became poor so we could be rich.

God has a divine plan to bestow upon you blessings far greater than the riches of this earthly realm could ever supply. Focus on the great richness God has provided for you within Himself—and you WILL begin to live in amazement and wonder!

Basic Bible Concepts: Part 9 Spiritual Growth

“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you, when they revile and persecute you and say, all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake, rejoice and be exceeding. Glad for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” ~Matthew 5:10-12
