Live Like You Are A Masterpiece

masterpiece

God created us as a magnificent masterpiece; and He has given each of us a very important purpose. A “masterpiece” is a work of outstanding artistry, skill, or workmanship. It glorifies the one who made it. Not only did God create us in His complex image; but He created us for His glory. Just as children bring either honor or dishonor to their parents—we also, who are born again into God’s family, do the same. So ask yourself:

Is your life radiating with the glorious presence of God, or when others see you do they see—only you?

Don’t you want to experience ALL of the glory that you were created for? If you don’t have a sense of purpose and excitement about your life then ask yourself, “Why not?” Perhaps you are missing your calling. You don’t want to miss the extraordinary opportunity God has for you, do you? God made you special. Then, He broke the mold so that no one else could accomplish exactly what you can. Let the revelation of the Psalmist sink deep into your heart:

“For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.

My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.

How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139‬:‭13‬-‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God created only one of you and He gave you great talents. To know the purpose of the real you, you must know Him.

If you were at a track meet and saw an 8th grade boy run 100 meters in 9.7 seconds—just 0.4 seconds slower than Usain Bolt, the current world record holder—what would you think if he decided to never run again? What if he was afraid to try anymore? What if he didn’t even realize that he was fast? What if he were afraid of the training or difficulties of pushing his talent to the next level? There is no doubt he would be missing the experience of his lifetime if he gave up running. It would be tragic!

My friend, we, as God’s born again children, have each been given unique and wonderful talents to run a race with an eternal prize!

God only made one of you and HE is the ONLY one who can fully reveal your talents to you. You are uniquely designed. Dr. Francis Collins, leader of the Human Genome Project, explained that even the most advanced computer program code cannot compare to the complex code which God put inside the nucleus of each of our cells. Scientists discovered that in the microscopic space of each tiny cell is a code three billion letters long that would take half of a lifetime to read. (Dr. Francis Collins, The Language of God: A Scientist Presents Evidence For Belief)

Isn’t it amazing that God wrote a three billion letter code just for you?!?

Consider this: If you or I took the time, resources, and ingenuity to create something as unique and complex as a human, would we throw it in the trash, neglect it, or wish to destroy it? NO! And—God, doesn’t either. As our Designer, He offers us a POWERFUL relationship which makes our existence meaningful and purposeful. He gives us HIS love, strength, wisdom, peace and purpose. In fact, God is drawing us by His love:

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.” ‭‭

Jeremiah‬ ‭31‬:‭3‬ ‭NKJV

God’s Spirit draws us—first for salvation—then for growth through the passionate pursuit of His presence.

God is vested in us, but He doesn’t make us choose Him. That would violate His love. Instead He gave His life and offers us a choice to love. Have you accepted His gift of salvation? If so, don’t waste the gift of your life. Passionately pursue a relationship with Jesus who is the giver of both physical and spiritual life! Within your relationship with Him, you will discover the wonder of who God made you. He is all around you; however, without a strong sense of His presence, you can look everywhere and never see Him.

We are God’s masterpiece, created in HIS image, for HIS glory. When we develop our relationship with God, we discover our priceless value.

In God’s presence, His magnificent purpose for our life is revealed.

Basic Bible Concepts: Part 9 Spiritual Growth

“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you, when they revile and persecute you and say, all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake, rejoice and be exceeding. Glad for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” ~Matthew 5:10-12
