God Does Me Better Than I Do Me: What About You?

Share

Black woman holding sign that says "God does me better than I do."

As God is directing me more towards living 100% of His will for my life…I can barely believe the miraculous events occurring all around me. He is writing a wondrous story with my life.

As a bonus, I am MORE full of joy and satisfaction than I EVER was when I was doing life my own way!

All these years, I resisted God’s will because I REALLY thought I could do my life better than He could. But WOW—was I ever wrong! If I had just believed God’s Word on this subject, I would have learned this lesson a long time ago. Do you know that when we receive the gift of salvation, we become the beautiful workmanship of God—AND—that HE has ALREADY prepared good works for us to do? Read this:

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared BEFOREHAND that we should walk in them.” ‭‭

Ephesians‬ ‭2:8-10‬ ‭‬https://bible.com/bible/114/eph.2.8-10.NKJV

Amazing, right???

The God of ALL creation has a wonderful plan for you! Aren’t you even just a little curious to discover it? Believe me, when you are living in God’s plan it’s—unmistakably wonderful. So HOW do we get ourselves into this fantastic position? Again, let’s look at what God’s Word says:

“Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies [dedicating all of yourselves, set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship. And do NOT be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be TRANSFORMED and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].” ‭‭

Romans‬ ‭12:1-2‬ ‭‬‬https://bible.com/bible/1588/rom.12.1-2.AMP.

To find God’s plan, we must determine in our MIND that we want HIM more than we want anything.

We must constantly refocus our mind to see God’s goodness. His goodness draws us into His presence. His presence transforms us and changes our desires. He gives us a higher purpose…His Divine purpose. We see opportunities we would have never seen without Him. He leads us on adventures far greater than we could have ever discovered or accomplished on our own.

As we yield to God and allow Him to change everything about us—we find ourselves living a life greater than we could have ever imagined!

There is no doubt in my mind that God is doing my life better than I EVER have.

Basic Bible Concepts: Part 9 Spiritual Growth

“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you, when they revile and persecute you and say, all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake, rejoice and be exceeding. Glad for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” ~Matthew 5:10-12
