Our imagination is a wonderful gift. Wouldn’t you like to explore the far reaches of the amazing creativity God has given you? Better yet, wouldn’t you like to tap into GOD’s imagination? Look around you—God’s imagination is manifested in most of what you see, smell, hear, feel, and enjoy.
The Bible says God’s wisdom allows us to have knowledge of “witty inventions.“
“For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.”
Proverbs 8:11-12
So…where do we get God’s wisdom? God’s Word says that the “fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” (Proverbs 9:10)
Although the “fear” of God is a multi-dimensional discussion, there is no doubt that one of the healthiest “fears” should be our fear of losing the sense of His presence. When God is the center of our existence; that is, the REASON for everything we do and the PURPOSE behind who we are then—we are in the presence of greatness beyond what we can imagine.
The presence of God powerfully ignites our imagination!
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above ALL that we ask or think, according to the POWER that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
Ephesians 3:20-21
When we are born again, God places HIS powerful imagination within US. Because He made us each unique, we have a completely special gift to give to the world. We don’t NEED to imitate anyone else.
You are the only one who can give the world the gifts that God placed within you.
Don’t waste the imagination God has given you! Hold God close to your heart. Respect Him enough to pursue Him in every area of your life. Ask Him to guide you into His wisdom. Ask Him to show you His purpose for your life—for TODAY. Thank Him. For it is a thankful heart that keeps our imagination enlightened. (Romans 1:21)
When our heart is constantly thankful, we live in the light of God’s imagination!
