Best Friend

best-friend

After three years of creative collaboration, we are excited to release “When I Can Read My Title Clear.” This song features Jonathan Lea, an 18 year old cellist from Ecuador currently studying music at the University of Arkansas and my son, Jon Lowe, currently on active duty and an Army Apache pilot stationed in South Korea. The original version of the song was written by Isaac Watts in 1707 and describes the clear title that born again Christians are given as a result of Christ’s sacrifice and redemption on the cross. We have added our own Irish/Celtic flair to this song, and hope that the message and the music are a blessing. The song can be listened to here on this page below and can also be found on SpotifyAmazonPandoraApple Music and iHeart Radio.

lyrics

VERSE 1

Take a look around; what do you see?
The world’s gone crazy; maybe even me
Lookin’ for love; desperate to find
Even just a little; simple piece of mind
Oh baby, the struggle—God knows it’s for real
Oh baby, the trouble—God knows what you feel! Because…

CHORUS

He is my Best Friend, I can’t live without Him, oh-oh
He is my Best Friend, I’m nothing without Him
Oh God, I surrender, your love is all I need
You are my heartbeat and the breath—the breath that I breathe!

VERSE 2

Look all you want, you will never find
A love like His; don’t leave it behind
Don’t take the chance; this ain’t no game
With a love like His, you’ll never be the same!
Oh, baby listen; I’ve been where you are
Let His love touch you, give Him your heart, because…
CHORUS AND REPEAT

He is my Best Friend, I can’t live without Him, oh-oh
He is my Best Friend, I’m nothing without Him
Oh God, I surrender, your love is all I need
You are my heartbeat and the breath—the breath that I breathe!

*music break*

You are my Best Friend, I can’t live without you, oh-oh
You is my Best Friend, I’m nothing without you
Oh God I surrender, your love is all I need… You are my Best Friend

BRIDGE

Look in my eyes; what do you see? It is my Jesus; and He’s in me, whoa-oh

CHORUS

He is my Best Friend, I can’t live without Him; oh-oh
He is my Best Friend, I’m nothing without Him
You are my Best Friend, you are my Best Friend
Look in my eyes; what do you see? He is the air that I breathe…
