If I was in a partnership with a multi-billion dollar company and could leverage the power of their wealth in business ventures—do you think I would I use it? Or, would I limit myself to investing with just my own measly resources?
I would be a fool NOT leverage every penny of monetary authority I was given in this partnership—right?!?
But on a greater scale—an eternal one—I’ve been foolish beyond measure!
I have a far greater abundance of resources at my disposal in my relationship with Almighty God! Jesus spoke of our authority. He said:
“No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you FRIENDS, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.” (John 15:15-16)
“ALL AUTHORITY has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” (Matthew 28:18)
When we are born again, we’ve been chosen to partner with ALMIGHTY GOD. We are His friends; and as His friends we have the power of the Heavenly Father at our disposal. So ask yourself—how much are you leveraging ALL the authority and power you have been given?
Is your life being lived so powerfully that it is evident your accomplishments are far beyond the measure of your own means?
When we live powerfully through God, there is evidence of this power at work—just like there would be if you were in a business partnership with a Fortune 500 company. God’s power within us builds confidence. We are credible. Our word carries weight because it’s backed up by Almighty God. We are not fearful. We are bold—not in pride—but rather, in the knowledge of WHO we stand for.
