A person would have to be blind to not see the darkness of evil destroying individuals, families, churches, and indeed—nations. The pressure is especially intense on those who are on the front lines and are actively engaging the forces of evil. When I feel defeated, God reminds me—satan doesn’t beat a dead horse. He does not waste his time with Christians who are busy building their earthly fortunes on this dying planet. Satan’s greatest firepower is trained on the warriors who are kicking down doors and rescuing souls enslaved by evil.
BUT—keep in mind—the amount of EVIL you are experiencing is NOT a measure of your SUCCESS because EVERYONE feels the influence and consequence evil!
Rather, the measure of your success is in the VICTORY you are experiencing in the midst of the evil. Living victorious, is living in Christ and requires surrender to His command. Christ did not live defeated and if we belong to Him—we won’t either.
In order for God to be winning FOR you, He needs to be winning IN you.
Surrender of our heart to God is where our victorious miracles begin. And, at some point we figure out that we’re no match for evil and we put God in charge. That’s when we have something to talk about. And—it’s so exciting that we cannot help but share! King David sang:
“Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples!”
I Chronicles 16:8
The hallmark of a victorious Christian, is we make HIS deeds known in everything we do. We’ve learned that He is better that we are—at everything. So we surrender to Him and He gives us His thoughts; He solves our problems; He gives us His love, joy, peace, and wisdom. HE defeats our enemy.
The stories of God’s victories in our life should be memorialized (write them down, if necessary) so we can share and remember them because it creates confidence and gratefulness for the battles to come. Just like the miracles in the Bible were recorded, we ALSO have our own miracles to share.
‘Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works! Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord! Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face evermore! Remember His marvelous works which He has done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth.”
(1 Chronicles 16:9-12)
God’s miracles in our life should be in the stories of our everyday life—what HE has done through us.
