My Love Belongs To You is a gentle lullaby, written to bring comfort, peace, and the reminder that love is never far away. It’s the kind of song meant to settle your heart and wrap you in God’s tenderness, like a quiet embrace at the end of the day.
We are dedicating this song to Emile Phanuef, who inspired me with his walk with God and his violin. For years, he shared the Gospel through his violin, mandolin and his ability to whistle a tune while with the group the Living Waters. What I’ll always remember most is his big smile and contagious laugh. His joy and his life—like his music—revealed Jesus.
In recent years, I was greatly humbled and blessed when Emile agreed to play on a few of our songs, including this lullaby and last year’s Christmas release, A Savior Born. His violin in our music was special. It took me back to my childhood in church when we would hear the Living Waters perform live and he would be there smiling and playing with all his heart for Jesus. He carried the joy of Christ wherever he went.
Emile went to be with his Savior on Saturday, September 27th. 2025. For those of us who knew him, he lives on still in his music. His presence here will be missed, but the love and music he gave us is a great comfort of the life that was, and is, and is to come. This lullaby is dedicated to Emile, Connie, their sons Jacob and Emile. I pray it is a comforting reminder that God’s love—like Emile’s smile and song—never fades.

VERSE 1
Rest softly my darlin’, as you fly among the stars;
The lambs are a’ sleepin’ the birds are oe’r their song;
The father is holdin’ your precious hand
Smile my sweet baby, in your sleepy little land
Sleep deeply, my little love
As I watch over you
Night may have stolen the sun away
But my love belongs to you.
