Is There Anyone Who ALWAYS Makes Your Life Better?

Until I had children and a grand baby…I never understood how another human could always make my life better. But—you know, as God has been working on me, I’ve begun to realize that I truly want Him to make me that person—for others.

Is there anyone YOU know who ALWAYS makes your life better?

What about THIS question: Are YOU that person?

Ah, how we all long to be around people who—EVERYTIME you’re with them—you know you’re ALWAYS better than when you came! What about someone who ALWAYS gives you more than they take? If you know someone like this—you are very blessed indeed!

Our weak and sinful flesh makes it very difficult for us to make life completely and totally for others. We are tired and we are needy. We want to be a RECIPIENT—not a GIVER.

Only God can change this way of thinking and help us realize that we are already equipped with more to give away than we can ever use ourselves.

We don’t necessarily need more things, more time, more resources, more status…rather; we need to educate ourselves and use what we already have. We must develop the mind of Christ and a robust view of the spiritual realm. When we receive the gift of salvation—we are no longer needy. In fact, when we build our relationship with God, we are filled to overflowing with all the things that money can’t buy—love, joy, peace, wisdom and strength.

In fact, God’s Spirit inspires us so much that we can’t wait to give to others.

We desire to give to the extent we make the lives of others better. But we cannot live in this mindset if we are needy. Our relationship with God must be our greatest source of satisfaction for the deepest longings of our soul. God must be the reason for ALL of the best feelings, experiences, accomplishments, and gifts in our life.

When God’s presence inspires our giving, we recognize the unchanging fact that—He never runs out of ALL the best goodness! We WANT to give it away because we have plenty to share. His presence gives us an awareness of the sweet, unexpected, and undeserved gifts that He surprises us with everyday. God’s presence restores our wonder. He draws us in and keeps us coming back for more. The Psalmist wrote:

“Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations. [The Lord is faithful in all his words and kind in all his works.] The Lord upholds all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season. You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in all his ways and kind in all his works. The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he also hears their cry and saves them. The Lord preserves all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.”

Psalms 145:13-20

When we surrender our WHOLE HEART and EVERY DESIRE to God, His goodness draws us deeper into His Presence.  God is the only one who ALWAYS makes our life better and when we live in His presence, we make the lives of others better!
