Boss’s Day: Are You Working For The Right Boss?

Share

boss's day

We were all created for a unique and wonderful purpose. It is not unusual, however, to veer off the path of God’s purpose by working for someone who has little appreciation for our gifts.

If you hate your job—perhaps you’re working for the wrong boss!

But, my friend, I am not referring to a human boss. No. When we are born again, we answer to the BOSS of all creation. Of being an employee, the Bible says:

Bondservants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in SINCERITY of heart, fearing God. And whatever you do, do it HEARTILY, as to the LORD and not to men, knowing that from the LORD you will receive the REWARD of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. ‭‭

Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭22‬-‭25‬ ‭NKJV

When our mindset is that God is our boss—it puts our earthly work in proper perspective. We are not overrun with negativity. Rather, our earthly job is simply another opportunity to glorify our BIG Boss—God. We are at our earthly job to shine with the light of Jesus. When we are working for the glory of God, we are doing eternal things. Our work ethic and performance is—the VERY best. We desire to rightly represent HIS kingdom—a kingdom that belongs to us. We represent the KING. We operate under HIS guidance. Thus, we are the best lawyer, the best janitor, the best teacher, the best waitress, the best truck driver, etc.

When we work for God’s glory, we are operating in His wisdom and love and we excel at EVERYTHING we do!

The better we know God, the more we understand our unique and wonderful purpose. Every person working for the Lord has a unique job. God has a job for you that only YOU can do. How wonderful is that, right??? We all play an IMPORTANT part in working for THE MASTER. His work is a massive undertaking and we are privileged to be part of it.

HOW we work matters.

WHY we work matters.

Eternity will tell the tale. Labor in the light of your eternal purpose and you will be ABUNDANTLY blessed!

Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is NOT in VAIN in the Lord.

1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭58‬ ‭NKJV

Labour not to be rich: Cease from thine own wisdom. Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven. ‭‭‬‬

Proverbs‬ ‭23‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭KJV

Basic Bible Concepts: Part 9 Spiritual Growth

“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you, when they revile and persecute you and say, all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake, rejoice and be exceeding. Glad for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” ~Matthew 5:10-12
