How To Know If You Are Ready For God’s Abundant Blessings

What would you think if someone told you:

“You aren’t ready for God’s abundant blessings!”

Several years ago, I came to the realization that my constant dallying in the world and playing around with sin was proof that I was NOT READY to the experience the full abundance of God’s blessings. Sure, God was blessing me—He blesses all of us with life and so many other basic things but—there is a HUGE difference between living with the basics and living in ABUNDANCE. The proof that we’re ready for His abundant blessings, is the full surrender of our heart in EVERY area of our life. We must be completely sold out too doing everything HIS way instead of OUR own way. It wasn’t until MY way had broken me that I was ready to consider living in God’s way.

In my brokenness, God had my full attention.

I’m thankful it didn’t take death, dismemberment, jail or other such horrible consequences for me to desire God’s ways! I’m ever so thankful that the painful consequences of my own actions brought me to a place where and I could begin this amazing journey with Him. Even now, when I get distracted by my enemy—it is God’s sweetness that draws me back. I’ve experienced the abundant blessings of His peace and love and—there is nothing in this world that allures me more than He does!

My friend, you will experience the greatest abundance of God’s blessings in an intimate relationship with Him.

Experiencing the blessings of a relationship with God is kind of like a really great marriage. When a man and a woman are intertwined spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, and physically—it’s magnetic! The more one gives; the more the other wants to give back. The giving, results in joy to the beloved, and the giving and joy of giving are shared back and forth between the two with great delight!

The gift of God’s presence is the abundant fountain of all blessings!

“Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!”

2 Corinthians 9:15

“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.”

Psalms‬ ‭1:1-3
