How Much Would You Pay For Peace?

Share

What price would you pay for a life of peace? Many clients come into my office burdened with insurmountable difficulties. They are desperate for peace. No amount of money they spend on their legal situation will buy them peace. Their turmoil is often a great opportunity for me to share the gift of salvation as well as my own personal experience about the peace that is possible when walking with Jesus. Jesus is the Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)

Nothing in the world can buy lasting peace because—God isn’t for sale.

If we want peace from the PRINCE of Peace; He must be the KING of our heart. He must be our most important reason for living. His glory must be our motive and our motivation for everything we do. The Bible has a simple formula for peace:

“What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—PRACTICE these things, and the God of peace will be with you.”

(Philippians‬ ‭4:9‬)

Putting God’s Word into practice—with a HEART in love with Him—places us squarely within the presence of the “God of peace.” We must make the time to read and study God’s Word. We must be in prayer. We must be connected to a local church. And we must engage in strategic planning to achieve our peace by having God’s Word and His presence permeate every aspect of our life.

The deeper I go in my relationship with God, the more I walk what I call the “path of peace.” God’s peace is a great gauge for knowing when I’ve left the path of His divine plan for my life. When our mind centers on God and He generates our thoughts and—we are full of His peace. God does not suffer from a lack of peace. We don’t either, when our mind is steadfastly fixed on Him.

“Open the gates, That the righteous nation which keeps the truth may enter in. You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, For in YAH, the Lord, is everlasting strength.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭26‬:‭2‬-‭4‬

Our heart is the price for God’s peace to reign in our mind: and—He isn’t asking us to give HIM anything that He hasn’t already given to US.

Basic Bible Concepts: Part 9 Spiritual Growth

“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you, when they revile and persecute you and say, all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake, rejoice and be exceeding. Glad for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” ~Matthew 5:10-12
